This is a new Twin fin I’ve been working on to get away from the skatey / fishy feel some Twins have but with the same get up and go. To achieve this I have pulled the tail in drastically with a wing at the same point as the front edge of the fins, combining a soft panel curved channel to act like a vee and allowing water out through the rails easier.
With the pulled in tail, the fins are closer together at around 9 inches apart, producing a smoother feel from rail to rail.
The mid section of the board has quite a bit of planing area still, to get up and go quickly and is complimented by a subtle single running into a bonzer double concave out the back.
All of this with a pulled in nose around 13” and a low entry creates a dynamic, yet smooth performance twin, that loves a good hack in the pocket with zing. Best surfed a little longer than your height and width threshold around 20 inches wide.
The Apex Twins are designed for 2-5ft conditions.
